Oakland Supercross 2013

Round 3 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross 2013 makes its way to Oakland California.

Track was built with a long sand section to make it different and there seemed to be a lot of pileups in a few of the races.

Some more quick observations:

A new winner in the 250 class main breaks Tomac's three race streak and two Aussies make the main!

Anaheim 2 Supercross 2013

Another winner for round 3 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross 2013. That's three in the races!

Track was technical and like Phoenix last week it appeared hard and dry with moisture coming out in the evening making it slick.

Some more quick observations:

Reed is finding his speed, Villopoto is looking ominous, Barcia is the unlucky one this week and Stewart may have aggravated his knee.

My Honda CRF250R 2005

Believe it or not, I recently got my first 4-stroke motocross bike. A 2005 Honda CRF250R.

I took a video of it just after I got it and uploaded it to Youtube yesterday.

Phoenix AMA Supercross 2013

New first-time winner for round 2 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross 2013.

Track was slick, some handled it, some not so well.

Some quick observations:

Reed needs speed, Villopoto needs wins, Dungey needs luck and Stewart needs to heal!

AMA Supercross 2013 - Round 1, Anaheim 1

The 2013 450 AMA Supercross class is absolutely stacked with stars, fast riders, young upstarts and an amazing come-back rider.

Of the five supercross riders touted to be up front on press day - Villopoto, Reed, Dungey, Stewart and Barcia, only one of them made the podium and that was not even the top step!

The days supercross racing was top stuff from the 250 heats through to the 450 main leaving the crowd thrilled and champing at the bit for round 2!

It was great to see the eventual winner congratulated by practically all the riders as they passed him and he proves that all the hard work done off the track in the pre-season really comes to the fore on race day.
