Positions quite often require candidates who have completed or are working toward a B.A. in archaeology or anthropology. Some, require or at least favor candidates with an M.A. or Ph.D.
With many benefits from outside work to just the thrill of discovery (or uncovering) something not many people have seen it is an exciting area to work in.
