Over 24 million views and 5,000 + comments, "Remember Me" is a video of support for troops serving in the army, navy, air force and marines.
It is a not debate on the reasons or validation of any kind, but simply a message of support and an expression of pride from the creator for loved ones serving in difficult circumstances.
So tip number 6 for topping youtube video is to offer genuine support and comfort to a great many people.
Here's some comments on the video:
"That was beautiful! Its encouraging? and thats exactly what I wanted to hear/watch to make my day!
ty for this video, i think more ppl should realize just what our troops are going through over there. i? am crying watching this but i love the video and i support the men and women over there. .

Awwww How About A Hug??!!??
Over 25 million views and 50,000 + comments, "Free Hugs Campaign" is a your basic 'feel good' idea that can touch many hearts.
Was featured on Oprah (he gave her a hug of course) and was great promotion for the band Sick Puppies.
So tip number 5 for topping youtube video is do something that touches the heart... like giving a stranger a hug.
Here's how the creator described the following video:
"Sometimes, a hug is all what we need. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

More Youtube Magic - Awesome Guitar
It's pretty obvious that big record companies know the value of exposure on sites like youtube. Commercial popular music make up most of the top viewed videos. So after wading through many music videos of commercial artist's the first private... well semi-private video simply titled "Guitar".
Over 41 million views and 177,000 + comments.
Many comments describe how people are amazed with his guitar playing (although why he has a hat on and his head down is something of a mystery... could he actually be slash or Eddie Van Halen himeself??? lol).
So tip number 3 for topping youtube video is amazing musical feats.

Youtube Video Success - Cute Baby
Over 46 million views and 130,000 + comments, simply titled "Hahaha" is the first of our "cute kids" videos.
This is not the second most viewed youtube video as that is an Avril Lavigne music video. I am focussing on non-commercial video releases and ones that use an obvious gimmick to attract viewers (sexual images or titles)
We all (well most of us) like to laugh and also find babies cute. Once again we have a combination of two favourite aspects of life:
Cute babies and laughing.
It's almost like a laughter class... it's infectious and you don't know why but you just keep watching it.

How To Make It To The Top On YouTube!
I could re-phrase that to say "How to make it to the top on youtube... without any tricks!"
And what do I mean by tricks?
Many Youtube providers know that they will get 'cheap' views if they put sexual images where the preview images are taken from (quarter points of the video's), if they use sexual or pornographic titles for their videos (even if they have no such content within them).
The group of videos I chose are unique in some way. And that trait has made them top ranking in some aspect of google video.
From most viewed to most discussed, each of these videos has a trait that compells viewers to watch, comment, forward on or a combination.
There are a lot of music video releases from popular stars which I have overlooked in this summary as well as the obvious use of sexuality with images and titles just to gain viewers.
